There are many reasons an animal might end up needing a good home. Abandoned, lost and not found, not enough time to meet the dog’s needs; sudden allergies to dander; lost home/job; new baby, poor health — we’ve heard that and more. While the goal at A Better Pet is to help people develop the skills and patience along with the tools to achieve success in wrangling their beasts into what they want and need them to be, too many years of experience shows that even the best intentions often fail to succeed in relationships.While there are many animals that are abandoned, relinquished to shelters, handed over to possibly unscrupulous homes, we have learned that having connections, savvy, opportunity and passion can help inspire new beginnings when and if that time comes along.
