PRICES GOING UP JAN. 2. When making decisions about dog food, don’t just go by price per pound but price per meal. When using premium foods like Flint River, the general rule of thumb is ONE CUP per 20 POUNDS PER DAY. My 40# Springer Bean eats 1 cup twice a day; Trip is a 20# Jack Russell, active as can be at 10, and eats 1/2 cup twice per day.
